Photography

The word "photography" comes from the Greek words for "light" and "draw or write" and can be translated to "light writing" or "light drawing."

"Light Drawing"

The concept can offer guidance into the art of taking a picture and how a photographer can use light and lighting to obscure, accent, hide and distort a scene. A picture can be exactly what it seems or something totally different.

Perspective

There's also so much more that goes into the composition of a photo besides the lighting, such as focus, framing and perspective which can help capture or accentuate a scene or moment. It's interesting to play with point of view to make the grand look tiny and the tiny look grand.
