Upstate 518 (NY)
"Five-one-eight" is the area code that covers most of northeastern New York state including much of the Albany Capital Region and Adirondack mountains and is home to an unassumingly vibrant community of artistic talent.
Adirondack Park
The northern part of the 518 area code is within the largest state park in the continental United States and the first preserve of its kind. It also contains Mt. Marcy, the highest peak in the state of New York.
Capital Region
With a population of over a million people, the Albany, Troy, Schenectady area is connected to Saratoga and Lake George by the Northway (I-87) which runs to the Canadian border.
